  • Ivan Buxton Gay Jr. is a US Navy Veteran and Land Surveyor in Industrial Engineering. A professional who wears numerous hats, he has also embarked on pursuits in entrepreneurship and small business ownership.

     

    US Navy Veteran

    Ivan Buxton Gay Jr. is a US Navy Veteran. He served in the US Navy for two years during the Vietnam War. Ivan’s Vietnam War Service included working on the Navigation Group aboard the USS Forrestal. After two years of active duty military service, Ivan was offered a promotion for an additional enrollment period. Longing to be closer to his loved ones, Ivan declined this opportunity in favor of joining the US Navy Reserves. For four years, his US military service included working on an American base. After six years of dedicated service, Ivan received an Honorable Discharge from the US Navy. Today, he is a proud US Navy Veteran who continues to support the brave Americans who serve our country in the US military, at home and overseas.

     

    Land Surveyor

    Ivan Buxton Gay Jr. is an experienced Land Surveyor. He initially worked for the State Highway Department on projects for Interstate 40 and I-85. Ivan’s work as a Land Surveyor focused on the surveying of bridges during pre-construction, construction and deformation. His responsibilities included data analysis and reporting. Ivan additionally worked as a Surveyor for a private company. In this capacity, he assisted small businesses, corporations and organizations in the process of surveying buildings during pre-construction and construction.
